Our colleague Dejan Vidanović took part 24nd Joint Annual workshop of the avian influenza and Newcastle disease reference laboratories which took place in Windsor from 10th -12th July 2018.

The meeting was organised by DG SANTE and the EU Reference laboratory for avian influence and Newcastle disease in Windsor (UK ) and aim at reviewing the situation in the Union and worldwide and sharing experiences gained, reviewing standards and methods of diagnosis for these two diseases. The specific objective of the workshop was to evaluate and discuss the experience gained during outbreaks of highly and low pathogenic AI and in relation to vaccination and the implementation of surveillance in poultry and wild birds.

Furthermore, results of interlaboratory testing, organized by EU reference laboratory were presented in which Veterinary Specialized Institute Kraljevo achieved excellent results.
