From March the 21st to 23rd 2018, our colleague virologist dr Dejan Vidanovic visited company “BIOSELLAL”, Lyon and laboratory “AGRIVALYS 71”, Macon in France.

Company “BIOSELLAL” is engaged in the production of diagnostic kits for the detection of animal and human pathogens, by molecular diagnostic techniques. In 2017, representatives of this company visited VSI Kraljevo for consultations regarding the development of new products and the visit of dr Vidanovic was aimed to continue consultations and, also, meeting with production program and possible use of diagnostic kits in our labs.
Visit of “AGRIVALYS 71” laboratory was an opportunity to gain insight into the experiences and methods of work of French colleagues. Annually, this lab perform testing on approximately 400000 samples, using robotic instruments connected to laboratory information system, for automation of some of diagnostic procedures such as preparation and pooling of samples, DNA/RNA extraction and ELISA test performance.

Concerning the fact that VSI Kraljevo’s laboratories perform testing of, about 550000 to 600000 samples per year, those experience may be very useful in the future.
